SL 1200 Tent Trailer - roof vent and crank question

hello, I am wondering a few things about my 2003 SL 1200 tent trailer.
1. Are there any recommended parts dealers for this? I need a new roof top vent as mine got all cracked and is presently taped up
2. When I crank up my tent trailer, its fine, but I cant lower it unless I have someone underneath my trailer holding back the stopper so that it wont stop the retraction. Does anybody have any suggestions for how to fix this?
